The behind-the-scenes story:

“OK, so we shot under a bridge in Paris. Of course, she posed naturally. She is kind. Once in NYC, Naomi came in-person to give me a card for my birthday. Of course, I did thank her the day after, but I realized much later the meaning; she made the point of accepting me into her world. I didn’t get that at first but you see, when you are so much into your work you don’t realize these little gifts at the time and what they truly mean. Lesson learned!” – Michel Haddi, Contributing Editor at Deenathe1st.com.

Interesting detail:

“At the time many magazines didn’t want black models, sadly. I was very happy to be commissioned to shoot the queen of souls all around the world. That is amazing, non?” – Michel Haddi
