BRITISH luxury brand Asprey, and HRH Princess Nourah Al Faisal, creative visionary behind Nuun Jewels, have brought their worlds together yet again by way of their second collaboration: a reimagining of Asprey’s iconic Feather collection.
Featuring thirteen pieces designed by Princess Nourah, the collection injects a fresh lens on the heralded offering by Asprey that drew inspiration from the historic Prince of Wales badge, which showcased three white ostrich feathers emerging from a gold coronet. “When I approached this collection, I saw an opportunity to breathe new life into Asprey's iconic feather designs,” Princess Nourah shared with Team Deenathe1st. “I wanted to honor that legacy while infusing it with the playfulness and innovation that's become synonymous with the brand.”

Founded in 2016, Nuun Jewels has continued to elevate jewelry design. Princess Nourah’s vision is informed by her background in graphic design and love for Art Deco design. There is a “subtle nod to Art Deco in there, which I've balanced with the contemporary aesthetic of my own brand,” she added.
The house of Asprey and Nuun Jewels first came together in July 2023, launching a set of handbags that reimagined the Asprey 1781 Pochette. The capsule collection featured five handbags, which championed Saudi Arabian heritage and paid tribute to five different regions of the Kingdom. But we knew it was only the beginning when Princess Nourah teased the new collection in our podcast interview with her – “It's been an amazing experience for me to be able to work with a house with a history like Asprey's because they gave me one of their historical collections, and asked me to re-imagine it.”

Now, to the collection: it is inventive with the use of metals such as titanium and a vibrant mix of colors through pale pink sapphires and pastel yellow diamonds. “By experimenting with unexpected colors and materials, I've tried to create pieces that feel both fresh and timeless,” Princess Nourah explained. So much so that Nuun Jewels craftspeople developed new techniques to do the pieces justice. The cocktail rings all feature an engraved feather band making room for the star of the show, the gemstones. Princess Nourah’s creative prowess is most visible in the bracelet with the feather motif embossed on it, rounding up with the signature gemstones on either end. Each piece, while different, comes together to tell a story, always paying homage to the one that came before it.
At Deenathe1st, we believe collaborations set the stage for a confluence of ideas and a coming together of stories. Asprey’s rich tradition is matched by an everlasting spirit of innovation, a quality Princess Nourah brings to life in this collaboration.
“It's been a delightful challenge to merge these different influences into something cohesive and exciting,” Princess Nourah further shared. Inventive, playful but ever-so elegant. Radical elegance, perhaps?
